Knoxville Squares, one of the oldest Square Dance clubs in East Tennessee, began in the late 1950's and was actually divided into four clubs known as the North, South, East and West clubs of the Knoxville Square Dance Association. Following the peak years of square dancing in the 1960's and 1970's, attendance in each of the four clubs began to dwindle and eventually all four clubs were consolidated into one club. The club elected to move our dances to the Square Dance Center (also known as the Flynn Dance Center) following the closure of the Jessamine Center. We dance on the 2nd and 5th Saturday of each month at the Square Dance Center in downtown Knoxville, TN. Our members are from all walks of life and range in age from teens to senior citizens
